I often think of the things that have stood the test of time. Being good to those around you. Taking an extra moment to open a door for a stranger. Paying for someone else's coffee. Walking down a street and looking up to say hello to everyone you meet. It's far to easy to get into a habit of worrying only about ourselves. The key to abundance and fulfillment in life is conditioning yourself to think of others. Imagine a world where we put other peoples needs ahead of our own. We see glimpses of this kind of humanity during tragic events and catastrophes. Our human instinct to reach out and support our fellow neighbour kicks into high gear. Imagine if we all cultivated that natural instinct in our daily lives. Emotions of fear would evaporate and be replaced with deeper levels of love for one another and in turn for ourselves.

Two simple words that when precede a sentence, can literally change your life. Two words that changed the course of my life in 2007. These words I am...have tremendous power to shift the course of your life when you combine them with significant desire, passion and purpose. In my newest book titled: I don't know what the hell I'm doing, I share one of my deepest insights called: Be what you seek. To get what you want in life you have to be the one to see it. You have to be the one that shares your belief with the world that you know why and who you are. You have to be the one that knows what you want and pursue it with tremendous passion even when others around you don't share your enthusiasm. I love that we are the only species that can complete this statement - I am. It's time to define why you are here and become self-aware of the power that you have inside of you. Today, make 'I AM your new mantra.

The energy of my new book: I don't know what the hell I'm doing stems from the premise that we were ALL born knowing. We didn't need to know what the hell we were doing to experience tremendous joy. We just knew why! We didn't need to know what the hell we were doing to believe in our dreams. We just knew why. Somewhere between the age of 14 and 40 we allowed gravity to take a hold of our dreams and keep us from reaching higher. Today is a new day and you can make the next 40 years something radically different. You can lean into it and the more that you do the more you will come to realize that needing to know what the hell you are doing is simply a limiting belief. Embrace this new philosophy and way of being in the world. Embrace this movement of not needing to know what the hell you are doing. Focus all of your energy on why you are here and accept the fact that you are about to make your mark on the world.

I've noticed how easy it is in the society that we live in, to buy other peoples opinions of ourselves. We let them influence our decisions simply for fear of looking foolish, but the happiest people will tell you that's it's the foolishness you have to embrace to live the life you desire. To get from where you are to where you want to be, you need to break free of needing validation from others. It's not easy sitting by yourself in the lunch room, I get it. It's not easy standing out and looking different. I spent my whole child hood trying to conform and stay in line so others would love me, no more! In my new book titled: I don't know what the hell I'm doing, I share a beautiful insight called: Share and Tell. Think about it, how do you want to be remembered? What do you want your kids to say about you and how you lived your one life? I know you think you've got all the time in the world to figure that out right?
Who gives a rats ass about what others think about the dream that you are pursuing? It's not their way and who knows, maybe you taking a chance on life might just inspire them to get a bit comfortable with finally being uncomfortable. Here's the thing, I'm not hurting anyone, I've just come to the realization that life is way to short and I'm getting busy creating the life that I desire to live now, not someday. I'm choosing to focus my energy on creating my dream instead of financing someone elses. I choose to live a life of inspiration because it brings me closer to you and if I can play even a small part of igniting the greatness that lives in you well then that's something I want my 2 daughters remembering about me.

I don't know what the hell I'm doing but I know why! That's the title and the premise of my latest book that captures all of the love, passion and purpose for my love of WHY. Since 1999 when I graduated with an architectural degree, I was always seeking the deeper meaning behind my life and more importantly, why I exist and what I'm meant to be for others. I'm in love with my why - seriously, I just love it. I wake up every morning with such purpose and lead my life full of intention for the mark that I want to make on the world. I love creating and inspiring a new ROI for the world, one where we all Reach Out and Inspire others.
I want to dedicate this mornings WHY BLOG to the one who has always seen me - my love, Angela. You found me after 1,000 years as a result of opening your heart to receiving me. You have witnessed all of my hopes and dreams for a world inspired. Together, we have walked hand-in-hand loving everything that has showed up in our lives, everyone and everything has been an extraordinary teacher. We have embraced a new way of being that centres around being purposeful in each and every moment. This journey with you has been the most extraordinary path of igniting and living my why.

You are the only one that can answer this question. It's not going to come from a $2,000 weekend workshop or from a retreat in Bali. It's definitely not going to come someday, that gap is closing faster and faster. It's not going to enter your cerebellum from wining about it on Facebook and it's most certainly not going to reveal itself when you decide to make the time. I'm sharing a core insight from my new book titled: I don't know what the hell I'm doing. You don't need to have the WHAT, WHY and WHO all packaged up in a white box with a pink bow. Seriously, you just need to start believing that you are the creator of your life. You are the only one that can think your thoughts no one else can do that for you. You are the only one that can decide to feel the fear and do it anyway, heck, do it afraid but just do it! You are the only one that can create a deeper, more profound WHY for your life. We all have the same 24 hours in a day, the same night and day, the same 4 seasons to experience nature. We all have a mind, heart and soul. We all have the ability to choose the way we think and act and who we decide to surround ourselves with. The only difference between your gorgeous self and the rest of the world, is quite simply this: You are you. There is only one of you. Think about that for a moment. There is only one unique you that the world will ever see and talk about for years to come. Isn't that someone worth becoming? I don't know how long you've been here on this earth, how many sunsets you've experienced but what I know for certain is if you don't focus on deciding what you want most then you won't take the necessary action towards becoming what you are seeking. It's time to be you.

In my new book titled: I don't know what the hell I'm doing, I strive to inspire my readers to build it now. You don't have to know all the details, the HOWs WHATs and WHEREs. You don't need to know what the hell you are doing but you do need to know WHY, the passion and purpose that drives your outcomes. The world needs you to build your dream now, not someday but today. Without focusing on your passion and purpose now, your someday won't appear. Successful people are willing to get comfortable with being uncomfortable. They are willing to think, act and do what 90% of people are not willing to do. They take chances, they don't listen to naysayers, they surround themselves with other dreamers that want to lift them up. You need to see that 5 years from now, your lifestyle will be the result of the choices and actions you take today, in all areas of your life: your relationships, your health, your career and your finances. If things would have changed by now then they would have changed. You have all of the power and everything you'll ever need, your mind and your heart so take charge of it now and build the damn thing! If Henry Ford and Thomas Edison waited for someday, we would still be riding horses and lighting candles. Build it now, what have you got to win by looking a bit foolish anyway? Heck, 50% of people that you know won't even attend your funeral.

In my new book titled: I don't know what the hell I'm doing, I create an energy intended to help you uncover a deeper realization of your bigger purpose in life. I want you to ponder this thought around the concept of 'what if' in all areas of your life, just 'for a moment. What if you took a chance on you today? What if you shared how you really feel with the one you love? What if you left that daily routine and commute that has been holding you down for so long? What if you started replacing the fear with only love?
What if you poured yourself into others for the next 365 days? What if you took yourself out of your comfort zone and radically changed your life? What if you started wishing for the new life you desire to create believing in you again? What would happen to your life? Maybe it's time to stop waiting and start creating your life. Maybe it's ok to give yourself permission to start thriving instead of just surviving. Maybe it's time to take a new kind of action not needing to know all the answers and simply being in flow with not needing to know what the hell you are doing.
What if you took a chance on you!

In my latest book titled: I don't know what the hell I'm doing, I share an insight called: Give it Oxygen. The premise, what you focus on expands. That refers to all areas of your life:,your relationship with you, others and with money. Our minds are quite amazing actually. Think about it, based on your past and current level of thinking, the universe pops a thought in your mind, poof, there it is and it's then expressed as an idea which enters your consciousness. You then pause for a moment and either believe that it's possible or it's not. You take action on this idea and you make it real by giving it daily oxygen, attention and eventually this seed of an idea expands and comes to life. It is no longer just a thought from the ether it's a fully realized idea. This is the art of creating and the miracle of being human. Our ability to feed and fuel our minds with the right oxygen that continually breeds new ideas. What seperates 97% of the population from the 3% is the ability to realize this power, harness and nurture it through daily action and a relentless fixation on the end prize. The mind is always at work and always working back to a state of comfort and successful people are just willing to do what unsuccessful people are not - get comfortable with being uncomfortable. That means looking foolish, sharing your dreams with others, setting powerful intentions, pushing through fear and doubt, saying no to 1,000 daily distractions and never giving up on your ability and belief to make your mark on the world.

In my new book titled: I don't know what the hell I'm doing , I share my deepest insight called The World Helped by You. It's my definition of WHY and it's what I want for you. It's definitely my legacy to you and others, to focus on the outcomes that you wish to create and experience in your brief lifetime. Once you realize your power to create your outcomes, you will come to share this gift with all those around you. I often say, if you're not happy with the outcomes in your life then you need to do some serious thinking on how you can start living with greater passion and purpose, but more of that in my book. Today, I want to help you see yourself influencing your outcomes. When you decide what you want most, take action and cross the threshold of discomfort, then you are creating your life. This resonates so much with me because when you are living through your why, creating those desired outcomes, you are contributing to the richness of peoples lives and the world is helped by you. Don't invest any more energy in someday, it's already here and it's going to pass you by soon and we need your someday today because we know that your outcomes will inspire us all to look up a bit higher and take the first step by crossing the threshold.

In my new book appropriately titled: 'I don't know what the hell I'm doing' I share an insight: Who the hell do you want to be? A moment ago you were only 6 and you didn't need to think that hard about this question. That's all life is, a collection of extraordinary moments and within these pockets of magical time we have an opportunity to make a choice in all areas of our life. Just think about that for a moment, who are you right now? Your initial answer will naturally flow to your job title or your rank in soceity but I want to take you deeper in this moment, we can go there together. Your so much more than you think you are. Soceity will have you playing small and conforming so you stay in line, playing it safe like a good little worker bee. But deep inside you is a burning fire to make something more and to create beauty in this world. Your meant to fly and experience the magic and wonder of the world. It's ok if you didn't get that til now, today is a new day and if you're sitting here like me listening to the sound of my breath then I'm living who the hell I was born to be, one who inspires others to take action and create their lives.
You don't need to know what the hell you are doing. This is your moment so savour it.

Instead of looking up to others, why not be the one that others look up to. Instead of sitting in the audience waiting to be inspired why not be the one that inspires the audience. Instead of wishing for things to change someday, why not be the the one that drives the change today. Instead of reading about how others made a difference why not be the one that others write about. Instead of seeking for answers outside of yourself, why not be the one that others seek.
What if this was your time now? What if all the things you have gone through were meant to prepare you for this very moment of your life to step up, take action and be the one that others want to become. What would your life look like if you focused on being the one for others and for yourself? You don't need to know what the hell you are doing to be the one, you just need to know that you are the one that others need.

To get from where you are you need to see the end result clearly in your mind. To inspire all those around you, you need to show them that you know the way. To become someone worth becoming, you need to become what you are seeking. In the darkest moments your WHY will always light your way. It will never leave you for it is you. You were born already knowing your passion, what brings you joy and your purpose, how you are being of service to others. Together, these two forces create your outcomes, they ignite your WHY and in this state, the World is Helped by You.
It's a matter of seeing yourself with more clarity. For a moment, try and become a spectator of you, see yourself as your future self nudging you along. Extend a hand to your current self and pull yourself up now to become the person you know you are becoming. Help your current self look beyond the temporary discomfort and see it clearly as a stepping stone to the greatest journey of your life.

In my new book titled: I don't know what the hell I'm doing, I share an insight called: 'De-construct your life' so you can build the life you crave. When we start to contemplate how we want to live, we create our life. You can continue waiting for someday to take action but that won't help you in this present moment.
The key message is taking stock of what no longer serves you. Discard the energy and the actions that holds you down from building the life that you wish to live. None of us have much time left here on this earth, yet we go about our days as if there is a limitless supply. Think about it for a moment, what's truly meaningful to you? What do really need to keep you happy? I bet if you really think about it, you could fit it in a back pack. The key is to build it now, not later, or someday, but now so you can start living it. We spend our days with massive amounts of doing when all we really need is a deeper sense of being. Fill up your heart with greater levels of purpose for the person that you wish to be remembered for, then focus all of your energy on the actions that will move your life into the direction of your desired way of living. You don't need to know what the hell you are doing - you just need to keep asking yourself how do you want to live?

Close your eyes, take the deepest breath and blow out the energy of what no longer serves you. It's time to set you free from the weight of the world. This is your time to savour your life in all it's glory. It's time to simply live. See your future self now in this present moment - you are free, happy, at peace, filled with love and unbridled possibility. You can't imagine living any other way. Mornings are slow and delicious. Love flows through you abundantly. Each moment is filled with purpose, you now understand what life is all about - you live for each moment, you are alive and free.
How did you arrive at this place? You released the fear that was holding you down. You allowed only love to fill you up. You let go so you could let God. You believed in yourself and mastered the only voice that mattered, your own. You took action by saying yes to only what matters and no to the rest.
You are Simply. Living.
