Share & Tell

Sitting on the round carpet in Ms. Spencer's Kindergarten class I'm selected to 'show & tell' the following day.  That evening I can't sleep.  I'm filled with exhilaration for the morning and the anticipation of inspiring my fellow class mates with my presentation skills.  I'm only 6 years old but I feel like Indiana Jones from Raiders of the Lost Ark about to unveil my greatest discovery.

What happens between the age of 6 and 46? We seem to lose our desire to share our passions with others.  We suppress our excitement and joy and take a more conservative approach to living out our days.  We allow gravity to take its hold on us.

Ask yourself: Do you truly feel alive? Are you living the life that you dreamed of as a child? It wasn't that long ago when your heart knew that anything was possible if you just believed.  Your heart always knows and you were born as true potential. It's a gift that lives in all of us but it's our individual responsibility to take 100% responsibility for opening and sharing these gifts with others.

In my latest book: I Don't Know What the Hell I'm Doing I offer an insight called: Share & Tell. It's the final chapter written as a guide to helping readers share their art with the world. What is your art? It's your unique gifts, your song, your verse and your deeper WHY - your reason for being. When you choose not to share & tell the world is not aware.  Regardless of what path you've chosen - when you don't share then none of us are aware.

What's in your heart? What is the song resonating from your soul? What are you aching to share with others?  As I reflect on my life, my inspiration and my way of being in the world, I'm transported back to the eyes of that 6 year old, filled with unbridled enthusiasm, vision and possibility ready to leap up into the centre of the room and share my gifts.

Now it's your turn, you've been selected to share & tell.

Feel the Fuel

As I prepare for my inspirational key note today I wanted to share the energy of feeling the life that you desire to create.  In my latest book: I Don't Know What the HELL I'm Doing, I share an insight: Feel the Fuel.

It's not enough to simply see and imagine your desires. It's the connection to the feeling that becomes the fuel and your ignition source.

As human beings we've been given an extraordinary gift of creation.   We can feel what we desire most to create.  We can bring the 'unseen' out from the domain of thought into our world of existence.  We activate this through feeling.

Through this power of feeling, you can make it real.  You can super charge this ability like any muscle. The key is to become aware.

As I prepare for today's day of inspiration, I start feeling the audience days in advance. I feel their energy, their laughter and their tears as they start to ignite the deeper passion and purpose that lives within them.

Think about the journey that you're on.  Close your eyes and see the end result of what you desire.  Now go their in your mind, body and spirit and feel the sensation of living it.

[Focus] on what matters

The key to focusing your limited energy on what matters is to FIRST decide what matters most to you.  I share the following insight in my latest book I Don't Know What the Hell I'm Doing: Decide what you want most, take action and go get it.

When you don't choose how you want to live your life then you allow others to choose for you.

We are bombarded with influences and distractions everyday from everywhere.  Social media, friends, family members, the media, out door advertising, movies, magazines and the list goes on.

You and I have a limited time on this earth.  So many of us will only experience 30-40 more summers and that's it.

Decide what you desire to experience in all areas of your life.  How do you want to live each day?  The key is 'desire'.

You have to want it with every cell in your body. Don't waste another moment being distracted by what others say you should be doing with your life.

TGIM: Thank God I'm Moving

In my latest book titled: 'I Don't Know What the Hell I'm Doing' I share an insight called momentum.  It doesn't matter where you currently are.  What matters most is the momentum and the direction that you're heading in.

What you focus on expands.  Flow your energy in the direction of the life that you're creating.  The life that you're creating is a pebble in a pond.  You achieve momentum through a few daily actions that are aligned with your purpose.  When you take action, you create the ripple effect.

Momentum is a powerful force.  It's like a water pump that takes a lot of energy at the start to get the water up but once it starts you only need a bit of momentum to keep it flowing.

Similar in life, you need to be that momentum.  You are the one that will take the action.  No one else needs to get it.  Today, get yourself into a higher state of motivation.  See and feel the life that you're creating.  Fixate only on the end result and take daily action.  Stay the course.  Keep pumping that handle until the water starts to flow.

Make a difference

What is the change you desire to see and experience in the world?  What difference do you wish to drive?  It's in you to be a difference maker.  It's in all of us.  We are all connected to the one universal field.  No one is alone or disconnected from it.

You may feel as if global change can only be initiated by the select few. It's the energy and love of everyday people that change the world.  You can make a difference today.  You can inspire great change by simply setting the intention. If we all waited for others to initiate and install change then there would be no change.

Living life as a difference maker starts with a premise that we are all mean't for more.  We're here on this earth to contribute our unique gifts to it.

The air that you breathe, the sunrise and sunsets that you experience, the changing seasons unites us all. We are one.  Don't hesitate a moment more.

Mahatma Gandhi shared these words: "My life is my message - be the change you wish to see in the world."
When you share your love, your passion and purpose with others you inspire us all to do the same.

Be a Difference maker.

Celebrate you

It's easy to stay on a treadmill, running to the next stop and then the next without getting off to pause and witness the greatness of your life.

Stop running and just pause and reflect on the greatness of you and how far you've run.

The more you give to yourself in this beautiful moment the more greatness you will attract in return.

Today, see everything and everyone as a miraculous gift. From the moment your feet hit the floor to your first morning cup of coffee to the beautiful surroundings that you find yourself in - bless every moment of your life.

You are on a beautiful journey here, now, on this earth. You've been given a life from which to experience the worlds many gifts. Bring these blessings into your heart, fill yourself up with the love that you deserve.

Pain is temporary

Have you ever noticed that your greatest progress evolved out from your temporary set backs you faced in life.

See discomfort as a catalyst for your greatest growth.  If we're not growing then we're dying. Your growth is your only evidence of life.

It's through the temporary discomfort that you find your true self.  It's easy to navigate through the good times they reveal an illusion of progress.  Embrace temporary discomfort into your life in order to ignite challenge and change.  It's through these challenging times that reveal the parts of your life that require attention.

You can live with temporary pain knowing you are growing in new and inspiring ways.  The pain of regret in not challenging yourself and pursuing your dreams can last a lifetime.

Set a course

Reaching your end goal requires you to first set a course. You have to be the one that decides where you're going before you can hit go.

Before fixating on the end prize, you need to set the intention of what you wish to experience knowing in your heart that you will receive it - see your intention as absolute fact.

Staying the course is easier when you know why you've embarked on your journey.  This deeper knowing is what keeps you on track and aligned with only the actions that propel you forward.  Distractions will fade away and what remains is your singular vision for the life you're creating.

Set your course, believe that you're on the right path, buckle in, put your arms up high and enjoy the ride.

Think again

It wasn't that long ago when you set an intention on what you wanted to create for yourself.  Over the past few months you've most likely been in the trenches taking action and working your plan.  Now is the time to look up and think about your journey.  Think about the path you're on and reflect on the milestones that you've reached.  Think about what brings you the greatest joy.  What lights you up? What brings you greater fulfillment and inner-peace?

Hard work with no play will not bring you the balance that you're seeking.  It's time to think again about all areas of your life.  It's ok to look up every once in a while and take notice of where you are so you can readjust your compass.  The more aligned you are with your vision the more effective you will become.

Defining yourself and pursuing success is often a lonely road.  If you think you're alone - think again.  The world sees you and is busy clearing the path for you to cross that finish line.

How long will it take?

Everyone of us is on a different path with a different purpose fuelled by a passion that is unique to each one of us.  Only you can set the course, raise the sails and lean in towards the wind.  How long will it take to reach that end destination is up to you.

In 1952 Albert Einstein proclaimed that time is an illusion and all time exists simultaneously.  Its our individual minds that creates and differentiate the past, present, and future.  See what you are becoming as already complete.  Know that you have already arrived at the end destination.  Release and remove the struggle that you have self-imposed within your mind.

What used to take weeks to create can now be achieved in a matter of days if you believe it can.  Become one with time itself. Let go of the need to control and have it all figured out.  I've often written that you don't need to know what the hell you're doing but you do need to know why and believe in something far greater than your current reality.

You are the ultimate dream machine - a manifestor and the creator of you.  You have the ability to conceive an idea, believe it's possible, take powerful action and create it. How cool is that! You are the receiver and the architect of you and your universe.  You are not separate from another - you are whole and connected to the energy of everything around you.  Believe in your ability to bend time your way.  Experience everything as absolute and know that you are here NOW to add richness to this world.
It's time.

Thank God you're motivated

TGIM: Thank God I'm Motivated has become a new mantra and a way of being for me for the past several years.  Every Monday I kick off the week with explosive amounts of energy, creativity and [focus]. I love starting each week with this kind of ignition for the life I'm creating.  While the world taps the snooze button for the 3rd time, dreading the Monday commute, I'm on fire for all the possibility and potential that this day has.

I know it sounds a bit over the top right but hell, I'm only here for a short while so I want to make the most out of it.  What's your Monday MOJO? What's going to start lighting a fire under you? What ritual or habit do you need to cultivate knowing that it's going to lead to greater levels of personal fulfillment in your life?

Hey I've got mine so now it's time to help you work on yours.  At first it may seem a bit overwhelming but that's the thing about positive change and progress.  It's like cranking an old water pump at the cottage, remember those?  After the first 10 pumps, nothing but then eventually the water just comes rushing out and keeping the momentum going is effortless.  Here's the great thing about being motivated, especially on a Monday. It doesn't matter where you've been or whats happened to you up to this point.  The only thing that's going to move you forward and shoot you out of a cannon is the direction that you plan on heading in.    Today's your day to light the fuse.  So let's get started and commit to moving one momentum habit forward, I know you've got it in you.
