- Let go of the past, people, negative circumstances and energy that no longer serves you. Clear your mind and give yourself permission to move yourself forward. See these past experiences as the greatest teachers of your life that served a greater purpose then release it. Send these people love and light, smile and wish then well with no regrets.
- Blaze a trail for your new life by focusing ONLY on that which you wish to receive. See and feel what you want. This week, act as if you have already received it.
- High levels of peak performance need to be balanced with periods of deep renewal. Sit in complete stillness every morning for 30 minutes upon waking up. On Wednesday, include an additional 30 minutes of stillness before going to bed.
- Make a list of 7 affirmations and live one of them every day. Start every affirmation with the words: I AM...then list what you are intending to receive. On Thursday, share your list of 7 affirmations with those closest to you.
- As you drift off to sleep, review all of the things that you are grateful for. You can do this in your mind or read them out loud. Review every moment and declare to the universe your gratitude for all of the special gifts from the day. Upon waking up every morning, declare to the universe all of the things that you are about to create today. You are creating your day in advance. Be grateful for the MAESTRO that you have become
- Don't do it alone, no one is ever alone. Share your intention with others. We can only help you when we know your intention. We live in a new social world that rewards collaborative energy. The world is waiting to life you up.
- Make 7 calls, email 7 people and send out 7 thank you cards. Go after that opportunity with persistence, passion and with the intention of receiving it. You are a MAESTRO and you are creating your life.

Gerry Visca founded the DEFYENEURS™ movement in 2010 as a result of his inspirational work with entrepreneurs and his passion for surrounding entrepreneurs with greatness. This article is one of my first revelations recently ignited while undergoing a deep super conscious meditation.
All my life I have been regarded as being highly creative. At an early age, my creativity evolved from obtaining an honours degree in Architecture to then founding and directing an award-winning Creative Branding company. It wasn't until 2008 when I began focusing on the power of creativity and creative thinking as a strong catalyst for extracting and driving my WHY.
Now branded as Canada's Creative Coach and WHY master, I allocate significant energy towards inspiring thousands of people to EXTRACT and LIVE their WHY on a daily basis. A focus on creativity and/or co-creation can become an inspired catalyst for driving one's life purpose forward with sheer determination, passion and persistence. I refer to creativity in this context as Cellular Creativity or the igniting of our WHY cells that propel us to uncover and follow our life purpose.
I believe that all of us were born with a life purpose and our role is to uncover it so we can live an extraordinary life in total alignment. I further believe that this life purpose resides within a specific set of creative cells that when stimulated through inspired action they come to life and have the ability to communicate with others.
There are essentially 3 major components: 1) The Mind - when properly conditioned through the use of powerful visualization, meditation and affirmations, have the power to communicate our intention to these creative cells. 2) The Body - when properly fuelled with cellular nutrition on a daily basis has the ability to energize our creative cells to new levels of aliveness. This form of cellular nutrition causes a physical reaction much like the enigma cells inherent in a caterpillar also the driver of it transforming or metamorphosing into a butterfly. 3) The Soul - becomes the vehicle for connecting with others. The soul carries with it our intention and a powerful frequency or vibration that is able to meaningfully connect with others. You have heard the term: we're all connected. Well I believe, that our souls play a major part in this connectivity of our energies.
We all have the ability to go ignite this creative metamorphosis. Its not simply in some of us but rather in all of us. We were all meant to shine as humans, become self-actualized and release our full hidden potential. We live in a universe governed by creative laws. You have heard the term: Nurture your Soul, Feed your mind and Nurture your Body right? I believe that positive self-talk on its own is not a sufficient catalyst for stimulating this amazing creative process at a cellular level. Rather, all three must work in harmony to effectively stimulate this chain reaction.
I was first introduced to this concept during the research of my architectural thesis - referred to as urban stimulation of events practiced within the De-constructivist movement. A major influencer of this movement was Bernard Tschumi. Essentially he noted that the growth of urban cities in Europe were the result of the stimulation of urban events. For example, build an urban square at one end of a city and connect it in a linear fashion to another urban square and the creative forces, tension and energy polarized between these two points cause an incredible stimulation of other events.
Over the past 4 years I have ignited hundreds of entrepreneurs through this highly creative process. The first stage is known as the CREATIVE EXTRACTION, where a series of thought provoking questions are used with a the client enabling me to connect with their sub-conscious, their passions and their intention. Some have shared with me that this is an intuitive process, where I am able to go deep inside the individual and pull it out of them. Having fully embraced the power of this process, I truly believe that it is part of ‘Cellular Creativity’ and the soul being open to giving and receiving with its host. It sounds a bit biological, however, I believe that there are many forces at work within our universe: attraction, energy vibration and intention. When we start to believe that there are greater forces at work trying to connect our energies we will find that we all have the ability, the opportunity and even the responsibility to propel ourselves forward. When we all work this way, igniting our true potential, we are in fact serving the world with a far greater purpose. I believe that we weren't put on this earth to simply be a spectator of our lives, watching TV, paying bills, building and visiting more shopping malls. I believe we were meant to uncover and live our life purpose so we can inspire others to do the same. When we are living in this inspired state, we are living 'in-spirit' with our life purpose. In this state we are igniting our creative cells, nurturing our soul so we can connect with others. I recently founded a global movement known as DEFYENEURS - inspired entrepreneurs that extract and live their why so they can defy gravity in everything they do. When I put out a powerful intention to inspire 1 million people, visualized a world inspired, affirmed it, meditated on it, took powerful action by inspiring and igniting others, the HOW presented itself as a result of uncovering and igniting a powerful WHY through this inspired movement. These creative cells when ignited, I believe, essentially rise above and through us to defy gravity and connect with others through our soul.
[Mind - Body - Soul] the three work together to protect, stimulate, ignite, communicate and connect to our deeper WHY and connect with others. Its this state of vibration that we are able to influence motivate and inspire others to live extraordinary lives. Its in this state that makes people become aware and come alive by asking and living BIG questions. The opposite of this energetic state is living in a 'numbed-out' state with little passion and little zest for life! You only need to look at some of the most successful people in the world and they will share with you a common denominator that binds them all:
They uncovered their WHY by asking and living the questions:
- What is my Passion?
- What makes me come alive?
- What is my purpose?
- How can I serve the World?
- What legacy do I wish to create?
- What do I want to be remembered for?
I admire inspired leaders that pour themselves into others with a purpose to empower and elevate others. Inspired leaders believe in a greater purpose and practice collaborative energy. Helping others in this way helps humanity. This is the kind of world that I believe we are creating. By helping others Extract and Live their WHY we will evolve into a new level of inspired human beings.
This meditation inspired this article which in-turn inspired my 9th book: DEFYENEURS, Live your WHY. In this light, I now define WHY as: the World Helped by You.

As I sit here in my Red Chair, preparing for a series of national and international key notes, I am inspired to share with you my latest Red Tip on the power of ‘driving your curiosity’. Everyday I am fascinated with the world around me. This past weekend I shared an incredible moment with my 12 year-old daughter Sophie, the newest contributing author in my upcoming book: Young DEFYeneurs™. The premise for this book stems from the need to continually marvel at all the wonder that is in front of us each and every day. As a parent, I have come to realize the power of the ‘moment’. It’s not the quantity but rather the quality of time that we spend with our loved ones that matter most. I shared with my life partner this weekend my feelings on: ‘What Matters Most’. Life has a funny way of taking over. In the process of constant “doing” we can easily forget what matters most in our lives. Hitting “pause” and intentionally carving out time allows us to get back on track and live what matters most. This also requires consistently checking in and taking stock of what matters to us to bring about a new level of awareness. I experienced an even higher level of connection with my life partner as we shared our values, hopes and dreams with one another. At times, there was a bit of discomfort, however, as we continued to step into our discomfort, we realized that we both want and value the same things in life. Sharing with her what matters most reminded me of the magic that brought us together in the first place.
This is a powerful question that I encourage you to live today by asking yourself: What matters most to me? Then share what shows up with your loved ones, your children, your spouse, your partner and even your team.
As I continue to live in a higher state of intention, new opportunities continually present themselves to me daily. Whenever I create with a client, I am always focused on centering them with what really matters most. I continually ask them: What do you want to create? What can you control in this very moment? What actions can you take that move you one step closer to your goals? Questions drive new levels of curiosity. In Deepak Chopra’s new book titled: ‘Super Brain’ he reaffirms my belief that the power of knowledge is rooted in curiosity. He expresses that it is our responsibility to drive curiosity and when we continually get curious with the world around us, we feel inspired. As children, we marveled at the world and became curious with our potential and possibility. Somewhere along the line, as adults, we stopped becoming curious and settled for the familiar. In Deepak’s new book, he shares evidence, that remaining in a continual state of curiosity throughout our lifetime, actually may prevent symptoms of senility and brain aging.
Tip: Always remain curious by being a rookie and a pupil of life. Strive to take on new challenges. Create one new success habit every month by living it for 30 consecutive days. Remain open to new opportunities and listen to others with the intent of understanding rather than responding.

‘Your brand is your life force. It defines who you are and what you stand for. Your brand extends far beyond symbols and logos; it is your unique signature that distinguishes you in the marketplace. Your brand communicates your pledge on the value that you provide.’
Have you heard the phrase: “It takes a village to raise a child?” Think of your brand as a ‘life force’ that requires attention, consistent nourishment and protection. In this article we explore the many faces of your brand and the steps you can take to cultivate a meaningful branding experience.
What do want people to feel about you, your team, your product and/or service?
In my 20 years of brand building experience, I have come to believe that, the quantity of marketing strategies or long-winded mission statements that an organization deploys, makes little or no impact, if you are not engaging your clients emotionally. Recognize that the true power of ‘brand building’ stems from differentiating yourself in the marketplace through the use of emotionally charged strategies. Brand building is fueled with passion and purpose. Successful and innovative companies today clearly understand this concept and strive to win the hearts of their internal and external markets. They compete for the emotions of the people they serve. It’s all about creating higher levels of ‘emotional intelligence and powerful engagement’.
Strive to create strategies that are in alignment with your brand purpose, build off one another and solicit an emotional response from your target group. When I direct a brand building platform for an organization or a high-level entrepreneur, I immediately focus on ‘extracting and defining’ the core essence that makes them unique. This approach sets the stage and the foundation for a more successful branding building platform. With a clearly defined platform and intention in place, your brand building strategies become supercharged with a greater success rate. This approach is highly targeted at the right side of people’s minds, also known as the intuitive, sensing and feeling side. Recognize that human beings are highly emotional creatures and we make decisions based on emotions.
TIP: Look at your brand building strategy in this light and discard any thing that is NOT generating an emotional return from your internal and external markets.
When you launch marketing strategies in isolation from a richer brand building platform, you risk missing your target. Essentially, you are ‘shooting in the dark’ hoping that you will eventually make an impact. I’m a strong advocate of ‘tribe-based’ brand building as a superior way towards cultivating brand loyalty. This form of brand building is designed to foster a culture of initiation. Some great examples of organizations that adopt tribe-based brand building are: Starbucks, Mini-Cooper and Apple.
Not only does this approach differentiate you from the competition, it positions you at a new altitude. When you strive to build a tribe or culture, you are continually breathing new life into your marketing strategies. Every action you take is aligned with purpose and intention. You create in far less time and you work smarter not harder. TIP: Strive to win the hearts of your clients or customers and you will win them for a lifetime.
The following are my five ‘Killer B’s for brand building:
‘Killer branding’ is about simplicity. A 2-3 word slogan or positioning statement that meaningfully connects and engages your target group is far more effective than a myriad of long-winded marketing statements. Some of my favorites are:
Nike: Just Do It.
Apple: Think Different.
Norwegian Cruise Line: It’s better out here.

If you are not passionate about your brand how can you expect others to be? There are times when I have heard from clients or members of an audience that I’m to passionate or aggressive. I’m in their face. Here is the thing, it takes 5-7 highly effective and consistent touch points to reach a new client or customer. Don’t apologize for pursuing and living your dream with persistence and dedication. We have one life to live so get out there and do whatever it takes to reach your goals. Remember, if you’re not being seen then you’re not being heard. No apologies!
I love creating strategies that generate tremendous momentum. Consistent events delivered monthly represent one of my favorite strategies for strengthening brand loyalty. With the increase in technology we are becoming increasingly disconnected. Events that are well executed represent an opportunity to connect people in meaningful ways. Strive to create consistent weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual strategies. Learn from successful people and create new success habits that replace older bad habits.
Recognize that energy flows where your attention goes. Work your plan and continue taking action. If you’re not passionate about your brand then you will not have enough power to create an engaging experience. Ask yourself: ‘How do I want to be perceived? Strive to create ‘sticky strategies’ that project you and your organization to the world with confidence, passion and enthusiasm. Project yourself as average and you’ll never stand out from the competition or get your message to stick to the minds of your target audience.
When I’m asked to deliver an inspirational key note, I strive to engage my audience at new levels making a lasting impression. Recognize that an audience will forget everything you say to them within 24-48 hours but they will not forget the way you made them feel. Making a bang with your brand is about creating a culture of initiation. If you’re not trying new things then you are not making a strong enough impact with your clients and/or customers. You need to ask yourself; ‘Are my current strategies making enough impact on my audience? Am I continually raising the bar in everything I do? Am I communicating like a master and getting my message out with passion and enthusiasm? Successful leaders continually seek new and innovative ways to create a surge of momentum around their brands. Making a bang with your brand is about standing out, participating, leaning in and raising your hand.
